Improve Your Home, Not Your Taxes

NJ 5-Year Tax Abatements

Renovate your home without the tax increase for 5 full years. Qualified projects can save you up to $25,000 in taxable assessment value.

The 30-Day Filing Rule

Don't Miss Out

To qualify, you must file **Form E/A-1** with your local Tax Assessor within **30 days** of the project's completion. Completion is defined as being "substantially ready for use." If you miss this window, the assessor will tax the full value of the improvement immediately.

Qualifying Projects

  • Finished Basements
  • Kitchen & Bath Modernization
  • New Decks or Porches
  • Additions (up to 30% of house size)

*Note: In Winslow Township, homes must be 20+ years old to qualify.
