Privacy at Watchdog
We collect the minimum account, product and billing information needed to operate Watchdog. Public property data and customer account data are treated as separate systems.
Information we process
Account identifiers supplied through authentication; saved properties, reports and Data Center configurations; professional role and plan information; product usage and diagnostic events; support requests; and billing identifiers/status supplied by Stripe. Watchdog does not need or receive your full card number from Stripe.
Public property information
Watchdog organizes public-government property, assessment, tax, sale, permit, municipal-finance and environmental records. Public-source data is not treated as a customer profile. Owner names are not reconstructed or restored when they are redacted from the public source.
Service providers
We use service providers for authentication/database hosting, subscription billing, email delivery, website analytics and infrastructure. They receive information only as needed to provide those functions and are subject to their own privacy terms.
Retention and account requests
Operational records are retained as needed for the service, security, billing, legal compliance and dispute resolution. Account-access, correction or deletion requests can be submitted through the site contact channel. Some billing, security and audit records may need to be retained after account deletion.
Not a consumer-reporting service
Watchdog is not designed or offered as a consumer reporting agency. It may not be used for eligibility decisions involving credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance eligibility, or another regulated consumer-reporting purpose.
